Monday coronavirus update: 13 new MN deaths, 3,148 more cases

The death toll in Minnesota from COVID-19 reached 5,443 on Monday, with an additional 13 deaths.
The state data also reports another 3,148 confirmed infections, increasing Minnesota’s total number of cases to 423,688. The actual number of cases is likely higher due to testing shortages earlier in the pandemic.
Of Monday’s deaths, seven were residents of long-term care or assisted living centers, according to Minnesota Department of Health data updated Monday morning.
Of the state’s total deaths since the pandemic began, 3,506 were long-term care or assisted living center residents.
The most recent data shows that 78,402 Minnesotans have received their coronavirus vaccine. Currently, health care workers and residents of long-term care are being prioritized for the vaccine.
HOW ARE PATIENTS DOING?

There were 405,556 patients Monday that no longer need to be isolated as they have recovered enough, an increase from 403,419 Sunday.
In total, 22,180 Minnesotans have been hospitalized with the virus, including 4,676 in intensive care units.

Number of health care workers with COVID-19: 32,727
The age group with the most cases is 20- to 24-year-olds with 42,926 cases.
The age group with the most deaths is 85- to 89-year-olds with 1,034 deaths.
